I'm thinking....

that, when I'm a billionaire; I'm going to buy a professional basketball team, a cable network, and a 24,000 square foot home. But, just to ensure I have enough money; I'm going to do a little insider trading. Because I can. Who's gonna know? I'll feel really terrible about the money I lost in fines to the NBA for criticizing the league and the refs. I gotta make my money back somehow!

Cuban is a joke. The SEC has been investigating him for two years and have now filed charges. I'm assuming they've got their "ducks in a row". Why else would they wait this long to file charges? Cuban denying all charges and saying the investigation was "a product of gross abuse of prosecutorial discretion" is an insult to, well, EVERYONE'S intelligence. That's just fancy talk for, "I think the SEC is being mean to me for no reason."

Being a sports lover, I have to say that I do enjoy having sports news at my finger-tips 24/7. But, I want to hear viable news. I don't want to hear trivial bull shit. I understand that there are umpteen different sports channels that need to find stuff to report 24 hours a day. And they may have to fill in the gaps with speculation.

With that being said; does anyone REALLY care that McNabb wasn't aware of the NFL overtime rules? I have to admit that I find it a little weird. Like me not knowing, as a bartender, that serving someone alot of drinks may get them drunk. But, it's really apples & oranges because it's not like the out-come of the game would have been any different. They both sucked. It just drove me crazy that ESPN was all over his interview when he admitted not being aware. Ala Vince Young leaving his cell phone at home. I actually saw a tag-line on ESPN1 (not 2, News, or U) before I left work that said, "Are we making too much of McNabb not knowing?" That tells me they know they're making too much of it.

I'm very happy my Tigers posted against Duke. I'm happy the 3rd-string and the Water-boys got to play. I'm happy we're still bowl-eligible. I'm just plain happy. Here's hoping we can pull it out against Virginia & USC.

Comments:
I stopped following sports closely, although I still remember something about cheerleaders. ;-)
